Nemo Restaurant
The Nemos of popular culture have always been pretty heroic, like the glorious sea captain who battles a school of giant squid, or the tiny clown fish with a special fin who ventures through the open sea to try and find his way home.
And if you consider delicious food served in an ultra-fab atmosphere to be a way of saving you from the dining doldrums, then we have another hero to add to the list.
Nemo, located at 100 Collins Avenue in Miami Beach, offers up creative new American dishes, in your choice of seven different dining areas, all of which express an air of South Beach cool.
Chef Mike Sabin plans his seasonal menus around the freshest products available throughout the year, putting together unique combinations of ingredients to achieve consistently fresh, sophisticated cuisine, making dish choices failsafe… but hard to make. Should you find yourself staring at the menu, deadlocked at a culinary crossroads, try some of Social Diva’s favs including: the Spicy Calamari Stir Fry, made with Thai basil, lemongrass, bok choy, spinach and toasted sesame seeds; the Sauteed Chilean Sea Bass served with ginger spinach, carrot butter and crispy shiitake; or the Center Cut Filet Mignon that comes with goat cheese mash and crispy onions in a port wine reduction.
As for where to dine, we love the sexiness of the open-air dining room, complete with jeweled lamps and ostrich prints, or the naturalistic vibe of the outdoor courtyard, where you can truly enjoy the fab South Beach sights, sounds and weather.
So the next time you and your crew are at a loss for where to nosh, let Nemo save the day… afterall, that’s what heroes are for!
