The Florida Room at the Delano
There are times we wish we had been born during the Roaring Twenties. We would totally rock a miniature feathered cocktail hat or Sienna Miller’s infamous sequined flapper-inspired frock. And we’d totally incorporate some deco and Etre into our digs. The only thing we couldn’t live with? Prohibition (for a martini-loving Social Diva, that’s a deal breaker).
Here’s a way to party like it’s 1922 without lowing ourselves to sipping on bathtub gin: The Florida Room — the much-anticipated new lounge at the legendary Delano hotel.
This modern day version of a 20’s speakeasy, residing in the subterranean space beneath the iconic hotel, just opened this December and offers a sophisticated alternative to the current South Beach nightlife scene.
The intimate space, conceived by Kravitz (as in Lenny) Design echoes the refinement and understated elegance of the classic jazz lounge with smoked bronze mirrored ceilings, lavish Swarovski crystal chandeliers, and a Lucite grand piano that is an exact replica of the piano in Kravitz’s own home.
The lounge features live musical performances during the early evening, while late night guests will enjoy premium international DJ talent, and over thirty exclusively handcrafted specialty cocktails, including a fresh Raspberry Mojito and The Florida Room Punch.
Door policy at The Florida Room can be a little tough (speakeasies in the 20’s had crazy passwords required at the door), but not for sexy divas who know how to work it – and we know you do!
Meet the Divas there on Tuesday nights, as that particular evening draws the hottest and hippest local crowds who want to rock it Roaring Twenties style.

A friend recommended me to look at this site, nice post, fascinating read… keep up the nice work!
